    Some custom stuff I made...

Four pair of nunchaku I customized.

Yellow with blue and green speckle and splatter

    Some mini-chucks

These were octagon and I made them round and painted purple.

    Stacked skulls!!

I love the purple ones...simple yet has that Bruce Lee vibe to them...and I bet they are lighter than the rest...and would be the most effective of the bunch as a weapon if you utilize speed.

I can't believe nunchakus are illegal in California...

          Very cool!

Man, I bet the skull ones would not only hurt the person you were using them on, but the person who was demonstrating his skulls! (uh, I mean skills! )

I sorta know how to use those. Back in '79, my friend Jay was a Bruce Lee nut, and made me some out of PVC pipe to priactice with. At least I'm good enough to impress an 11 year old who was a ninja for Halloween, when I showed him how to use his nunchuks, or as we called them back in the day, "chaku sticks".
"Do you believe, you believe in magic?
'Cos I believe, I believe that I do,
Yes, I can see I believe that it's magic
If your mission is magic your love will shine true."

They all work. I used ball bearing swivels for most of them. The skull ones are heavy and not really good to practice with or to try to impress with ninja skills. They would be good to crush skulls with, though. They are made from a pair of practice chucks and some old Halloween toy handles and resin poured in. The black minis are made from a pair of $2.97 plastic Halloween toys from Walmart and a pair of practice chucks. The speckled ones are just a pair of old black nunchucks that the paint was all worn off. The purple ones were octagonal which I don't like. So I sanded them down and rounded the handles out and tried to paint them red. The red looked nothing like the cap color and was really ugly. So they got repainted purple and I think they look awesome now.
Now I'm planning to make a couple of pair of the minis with rope instead of chain and swivel. (Ninjas don't use chain! Rope is more stealth!!)

The skull stacks don't look like they would be comfortable to swing, but the skulls make it easy to grip. They sure won't slip out of your hands. They are super strong with a solid center core of casting resin within a shell of pvc pipe running the length of the handle. The pvc pipe is inserted into the skulls and casting resin poured to fill the skulls. The skulls themselves are made of soft plastic that won't break easy. So it's four layers of strength and very durable. They just have lots of smashing power to crush your attackers skull.

I was going to say: I'd hate to get hit with those skull ones! In high school, I had a set of foam ones to practice with and I would accidentally hit myself constantly. Of course, that's no problem with foam, but those skull 'chuks would raise hematomas like crazy!
Expectation is the death of discovery.

I think they are still illegal here as well?
