I'm really hooked on Tarzan. I think it has a style and soundtrack close to the '67 Spiderman. I'm beginning to understand why I liked it so much. It's a fun cartoon.

I like alot of Filmation's work. But some of it is hit and miss. I think they did their very best work towards the late 70's and early 80's.

I guarantee you'll like it Mike. It's actually AS good as I remembered and THAT'S saying something. I wish someone would make a custom Mego of that particular Tarzan.

What I remember is how all those Filmation cartoons reused the same music cues!

It's funny you would say that. Because that reason was often why the '67 Spider-man caught so much flack. But the truth was, re-used animation was the industry standard. That was a cost cutting device and honestly it worked very well. I love Spidey '67 and Tarzan. I think they used that technique the very best...along with some artistic flare.

Are there good quality sources of Tarzan out there? There's no legit release yet is there?

Best Filmation for me is Star Trek but I love most of their 60's/ 70's stuff.

When I got older I was very angry at Filmation for their style and how the Co. produced stiff Animation. John Kricfalusi used to work for them and told many insider tales that would make me shake my head. As an adult I kind'a came to grips with it and bought some sets of shows I watched as a kid. When they were offered by BCI I thought this might be the only chance to own these.

Ark II, Space Sentinels, Star Trek, Isis, Space Academy, Jason of Star Command, Flash Gordon, The New Adventures of Batman, Freedom Force.

I would still like to get Web Woman on DVD. I guess it's going to take a bigger Co. who is willing to stand up to Marvel tho.
