    Recommend a DVD player please!

Hey everybody! My current dvd player has seen its last days and i'm in search of a new one. Please recommend a good quality DVD player that is a multi region player. I dont have a HD tv so i guess i have no need for a pricey player. But i am looking for a player that will play all formats like --- DVD, DVD-R/+R, CD, CD-R-RW, MP3/WMA, Jpeg picture CD

I think I saw a couple at walmart for like $30 that play multi region,no need to spend more then that for a DVD player if you're not into HD or Blu ray

Just make sure you check about how multi-region players work before you buy.

      Example:
      USA DVD's are NTSC
      UK DVD's are PAL

The region coding is just a security feature.
It has nothing to do with PAL and NTSC coding.
If your DVD player is NTSC and multi-region, there's a chance it still wont play PALs

I've bought a lot of DVD's from America and I'm living in Europe and never had any problems with them. But the reason can be that I play them on my PC.

Are there some people who can list a few multi-region players because when I talk about it here in Belgium some people just don't know what I'm talking about.

I'm not into that idea. I am more of Nintendo fan. I like the games more then XBox but everyone has his own taste so if you like it you can buy one.

As long as you don't buy a player that is from a well known brand then it will be easily "Hacked" to make it multi region. I've never bought a player thats cost more than £30 and although you will only get a couple of years out of them , they are nearly all hackable. There are plenty of sites out there that will show you the hack for these machines as they usually only need a code pressed into the remote.
