I had a major tear in my right rotator cuff. They "fixed" it on Wednesday, but I don't have any real use of the right shoulder at the moment. I get to look forward to 10 weeks of therapy to get it back to normal, but it's supposed to be 100% recovery, so at least there is that.
All in all, if you got to have surgery, better to not have it for something life threatening I guess!
Nah - his elastic line snapped and his T1 arm was just hanging there. The Doctors just restrung him.
Get well soon, Dave. You'll be pitching again for the Toledo Mud Hens in no time.
An old Irish Blessing - "May those who love us, love us; and if they do not love us, may God turn their hearts; and if He does not turn their hearts, may He turn their ankles, that we may know them by their limping"
I know you are glad it's over. Enjoy the time off - hope your recovery is quick, easy, and painless (We can hope, right?). Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays Dave to you and yours!
Rest up and make sure you do your physical therapy faithfully.
Today was day one of therapy. It consisted in a lot of groaning and the guy telling me "let's see if we can't get that to move a little farther" which prompted thoughts from me like "let's see how hard I can pop you with my good arm."
