P4P, female boxer Lucia Rijker, punches harder than a bigger male MMA fighter...

...and harder than a male amateur boxer of the same height and weight...

    How you like them apples?

    P.S. P4P means pound-for-pound...

Lucia Rijker is my all time favorite female boxer.

    She throws so beautifully...great technique...

Laila Ali was bigger, but she was slow and clumsy (and actually turned down a fight with Rijker). Ann Wolfe was a bad mama, but too many demons. Christy Martin was tough, but too many weight problems.

In case you don't know who Rijker is...she was the villain in Million Dollar Baby with Clint Eastwood and Hilary Swank...

That water retention will get you every time. But seriously, the emphasis here is "technique". If it's just male vs female across the board, then have them do everything. See who benches more. See who can take more punches. Let's measure the fatigue level as well. Plus on the punch comparison, the guy threw an entirely different punch from the side, than what the girl did. She hit straight ahead which carries more direct force. It should have been the same punch. The same also goes for the manikin. The girl pulled in closer and landed sooner. Whereas the male boxer didn't connect until his arm was extended considerably farther. I didn't see it apples to apples. But that doesn't take anything away from her. She is clearly a very gifted and talented fighter. I'm 6'4 and I wouldn't mess with her! She would mop me up and hang me out to dry!

        True across the board.

But did you just called her a girl?

        Oh...you are in trouble now...

Speed equals power, not size but I guess it depends.

I once tried one of those punching bags that measure "pounds of pressure". I was far smaller than the other four men and my score was far higher because I threw with much more speed. That said, I'd take a Mayweather suckerpunch anyday over a George Foreman stiff jab.

I used to watch Lucia Rijker spar all the time back in 2000-2004 or so. She trained out of the same gym as Mike Tyson. The females at the gym couldnt last 40 secs with her in sparring, so they had to use experienced pro males. And trust me Rijker dropped many of them and Rijker can indeed take a mans punch.

She is a very mellow girl outside the ring.

The only time she lost a fight was against a male Thai kickboxer (Rijker started off as a kickboxer)...in 1994...at an exhibition Muay Thai kickboxing match against male opponent, Somchai Jaidee of New Zealand...she suffered a 2nd-round KO.

I think she's a baddass..and admire her a lot...but I don't approve of mixed matches between the sexes...and that KO was pretty brutal...so I'm not going to post the video.

But that tells you the "balls" she has...taking a match against a tough male opponent like that.

No wonder Lelia Ali turned her down...lol.

She is cool. I would like to see this footage where she was knocked out.
