lion kings successful rerelease has caught everyone by suprise. Really, its quality is timeless. I can only hope this will create a resurgence in traditional animation. Probably wont happen, most kids are so spoiled on that 3d computer stuff now, it just hurts my eyes.

I don't know...this might jump start traditional animation once again...the secret is quality...and the end result...Lion King making mad money on its re-release.

Disney used to do this with most of their older films when VHS started. They would rerelease a film in theaters then a couple of months later, release it on VHS. Always seemed like a way for them to print money imho. Every 7 years or so they would have a new "batch" of kids old enough to want to see their films.

that's my top 5 , not counting pixar films

pixar has been lacking lately
hated toy story 3 and up
love a bugs life and toy story 2
walle was 1/2 good

I dig all Pixar movies except Cars...I don't get that one...both 1 & 2.

P.S. I also thought Toy Story 3 and WALL-E were pretty solid as well...although certainly not as good as UP.



But my favorite animated film in recent years in terms of pure fun...has to be Dreamwork's Megamind...that movies simply rules...funny as hell...lol...
