    Jewish Life TV: The Goldbergs, Soupy Sales, Jack Benny

    Just came across this channel...showing one of the 1st sit-coms The Goldbergs as well as Soupy Sales and Jack Benny. I'm familiar with JB but I've never seen The Goldbergs or Soupy.

    The promo for Soupy looks like it's including some 70s stuff too....Alice Cooper was in it.

    I met Soupy at Chiller Theatre a while ago.

    I used to love his 70's show

    RIP Soupy

      The 70s Soupy Sales show is from 1978...I'm into 10 minutes of an episode and it is absolutely HORRIBLE...sounds like he has 3 people in the audience...

        Yep, it has an Uncle Floyd Show feel .... which is a good thing

          Make sure you check out Lady Mashugana and The Iceman too. That's Sunda Croonquist and James Harris. It's called The James and Sunda Show and they are funny!! Maggy and I love that show. Sunda and I have a little running joke on Facebook about the fact that they don't have any James and Sunda Show coffee mugs for sale. James actually told me they are working on it. Both of them are very good about interacting with their fans too. Plus Sunda is nice to look at, IMHO.

          The Goldbergs is not a well known show which is a shame. Gertrude Berg was a very talented lady. It was first a radio show and Gertrude wrote nearly all of the episodes! To me she is one of the pioneering women in comedy along with Lucille Ball whom I also love. You can read a bit about here with this link;

            Didn't know DirecTv carried it. Have to check it out.

              What a gyp. I punch in the number DirecTv has listed and they tell me that channel isn't there.

                What channel did you try? I think it is on 366 but I'm not at home right now to check.

                  That's the one. But it didn't work for me.

                    The Goldbergs is weird... For some reason it has always felt more melancholy than comedic to me in the few time I've watched it.
