Smurfberry Crunch was awesome. Post has a Smurf cereal out now in conjunction with the movie, but it's nothing but Fruity Pebbles colored blue and white. Bah!

We didn't have any of these over here .. just Froot Loops / Frosties / Coco Coco Pops / Honey Smacks (my fav,) and a lot ofthe plain ones.
Did any of these come with toys sealed inside the bag of cereal? I really miss those days of opening the packet and searching for the toy, and then pulling my arm out COVERED in Honey Smacks.Leave a comment:

I also remember Corny Snaps, the corn cereal shaped like "s". Corny the Turtle (Jimmy Durante imitator) was the mascot. But basically, as w/ most corn sugar cereals, it tasted like Cap'n Crunch.Leave a comment:

I used to love BooBerry. To me there was just something so weird about the milk turning blue from the food coloring.
Do they still make Grape Nuts? That cereal was murder on your teeth, and took forever to finish just one bowl.
How about Frosted Rice, with Tony the Tiger's son, Tony Jr. on the box? I haven't seen that since I was about twelve or thirteen.Leave a comment:

I know a cereal that probably none of us has had that i would like to try: PEP! I think this cereal has been off the market for fifty years. I always wondered what it was comparable to. (wouldnt mind having a few of those superhero buttons they came with also)Leave a comment:

I'd really like to know what most of these cereals tasted like. I'm curious as to what flavour "Gremlins" would be. My mom wouldn't have bought 99% of these cereals for my sister and I. We just got plain old Shreddies, Rice Krispies, Corn Flakes etc. Then we added our own sugar. Which kinda defeats the purpose of buying the healthier cereals.
Also a lot of common American cereals just weren't available up here, we just saw all the commercials while watching Saturday morning cartoons. Can't say I've heard of very many of these, I'm guessing some were regional in the US?
I think cereal memoriblia would be fun to get into, but I just can't start any new collections right now. I do have some of the Dark Horse produced vinyls from a few years back (vintage tony/tiger, kellogs bird, froot loops bird, some cowboy animal, cant remebr).Leave a comment:

Hmmmm....
There was one I really liked as a kid, but can't remember the name of. They were little "Os" with bits of almond, made from a dark grain.... hard as rocks and didn't get soft in milk. They were pretty expensive and didn't last long.
And I remember "C3P0s." They were.... really, REALLY sweet. And turned to mush instantly when milk was added.
