Top ten for songs is always too hard for me. It changes. With movies, I have a set list. But I'll give it a whirl. Frankly, there are too many Springsteen, Beatles, and Nirvana songs that are at or near the top.

    Paint It Black
    Penny Royal Tea
    Born To Run
    Thunder Road
    Across the Universe
    One
    Help
    Layla
    Bullet With Butterfly Wings
    Hurt

There's no way for me to assign numbers to them, but my Top 10 songs of all time are...

        Space Oddity - David Bowie
Billion Dollar Babies - Alice Cooper
        Bohemian Rhapsody - Queen
        Ziggy Stardust - David Bowie
        Detroit Rock City - KISS
(We're All Clones) - Alice Cooper
        The End - The Doors
Victim Of Changes - Judas Priest
When The Music's Over - The Doors
Do You Feel Like We Do (live) - Peter Frampton

        Honorable Mentions go to...
She Talks To Angels - Black Crowes
        Dreamer - Ozzy Osbourne

My list could change as well based on mood, day of the week, etc.

Its almost impossible to pick---I mean---compared to something like
            "favorite ALBUMS"----but here's a try:

            1. COLD GIN - KISS
            2. HEAT OF THE MOMENT - Asia
            3. KNUCKLEBONES - David Lee Roth
            4. NIGHT FEVER - Bee Gees
            5. I LOVE IT LOUD - KISS
            6. DO YOU REALIZE? - Flaming Lips
            7. LET'S GET CRAZY - Quiet Riot
            7. BABA 'O REILLY - The Who
            8. IT'S ONLY A NORTHERN SONG - The Beatles
            9. SUNSHINE SUPERMAN - Donovan
            10. SOMETIMES IT SNOWS IN APRIL - Prince

Man, that was probably the most difficult list ever...
It's gotta entirely change from thought to thought
and moment to moment---too many songs to
choose from from so many artists with so many
            factors playing into it overall

I mean, I just saw Mike's list--and it reminded me of SPINAL TAP
whose JUST BEGIN AGAIN or TONIGHT I'M GONNA ROCK YOU
has to be up there on my overall list---as well as RAINBOW CONNECTION
(which I saw played by an opening band at a TAP show
coincidentally...I prefer Kermit's rendition of course)

As others have mentioned, my top ten song list is very fluid as well, changing from week to week and from year to year.

So let's go with my favourite ten songs currently on my Ipod.

                      1. All Along The Watchtower, Jimi Hendrix
                      2. Enter Sandman, Metallica
                      3. Down With The Sickness, Disturbed
                      4. My Hero, Foo Fighters
                      5. Going Under, Evanescence
                      6. Dazed And Confused, Led Zeppelin
                      7. Come As You Are, Nirvana
                      8. Evenflow, Pearl Jam
                      9. Black Hole Sun, Soundgarden
                      10. Aqualung, Jethro Tull

                        "Ph'nglui mglw'nafh Cthulhu R'lyeh wgah'nagl fhtagn"

In the Southeast Pacific, lies the sunken city of R'Leyh. There lies C'thulhu waits to return to our world with the other Great Old Ones. A hideous creature of enormous size and alien power, it waits for it's time to return patiently. For it has all the time in the world while it waits for the stars.

                          Hmmmm....

Tough to pick ten. The CURRENT top 10, in no particular order would be:

                          -Crazy Nights: Loudness
                          -The Kinslayer: Nightwish
                          -Aces High: Iron Maiden
                          -ME262: Blue Oyster Cult
                          -Going Through Hell: Rodney Atkins
-Life in Still Water: Fates Warning
                          -Rattlesnake Trail: Jethro Tull
                          -Funeral for Yesterday: Kittie
                          -Gutter Ballet: Savatage
                          -P.M.O.: Chris Cafferty

It changes a lot, since I'm always looking for new tunes. "PMO" is my new theme song, though....
