I'll be attending this weekend with my lovely wife and 2 crazy kids. If anyone else is going, leave a post and maybe we can meet up.

Is the show always so short? I just checked the website and saw that it runs from 9am to 3pm. I would have thought that a show like this could run for a little longer than 6 hours on a Sunday."Trying is the first step towards failure." - H. J. Simpson, 1997Comment

Still "toying" with the idea of going, 'Zilla. Is it worth the three hour plus drive, buddy? Can you give us an idea of the kind of stuff one might expect to find..? Inquiring minds wanna know!!!!!sigpic Oh then, what's this? Big flashy lighty thing, that's what brought me here! Big flashy lighty things have got me written all over them. Not actually. But give me time. And a crayon.Comment

Yes it's at Vets Memorial running 9-3 Sunday. I think it's a good time and I always drag my kids, but it's a 20 minute drive for me. I'm not sure I'd drive 3 hours for any toy show outside of Mego Meet. It's mostly new stuff, but I usually find something to drool over.

Hey guys, I hope to be there early with my son. I am not setting up for this one. The show has transitioned IMO to a mostly 80s kid crowd, and I have a hard time selling Mego unless it's really low end stuff that I practically give away. Transformers, Star Wars, and 80s GI Joe rules. My best buys are usually when one of them gets some of our 'crap' in a lot with some He-Man or something.
I always find good buys for stuff for my kids, and the occasional vintage treasure. Biotron Tim has been at the last couple of shows and he has neat stuff.
I wouldn't drive 3 hours for this show or to meet a jerk like me, but the Godzilla family, Brue, and Duncan are swell peeps.Comment

It starts to drag after the first three hours IMO. There have been times where the traffic petered out before 1pmComment

I normally show up at opening and walk around, only buying the stuff I want that may disappear quickly. Then my wife and I go to the flea markets and antique shops, have a nice lunch at the Spaghetti Warehouse, and go back during the final hour for the good end-of-the-day deals. Overall we have a great time, but I would not drive 3 hours just for the show."Procrastination is the art of planning for tomorrow."Comment

Mad props for the generous (fictitious?) shout-out. Back at ya.
I agree with your assessment of the show. There is some diversity - farm toys, lunch boxes, GI Joe - but that's more the exception than the rule. I'd probably drive an hour for this show, but not 3 hours.Comment
