Now it's mug turn to come home to a flooded basement

4 inches of water throughout my entire basement. Some houses not far away are being evacuated. It isn't pretty. Another half inch and it would have ruined my mailer boxed forbidden zone and tree house. It did get in my guitar case and my amp was on the floor too, so not sure if that is going to make it. Guitar seems fine. It could have been much worse, but I have a weeks worth of cleaning after this is all pumped out. Isn't it great to be a home owner!

That sucks, Scott! Water seems to be the bane of most collectors' existence. Well, that and basements....

Good luck and hope everything turns out okay for ya!
sigpic Oh then, what's this? Big flashy lighty thing, that's what brought me here! Big flashy lighty things have got me written all over them. Not actually. But give me time. And a crayon.

Yeah, that's the last time any of my collection gets displayed in the basement. I think my amp is fine. Looks like I got to it before the water even got high enough to get past the legs. And it was in the highest part of my basement. I think the losses will be minimal, joust a lot of stuff to haul up for the garbage.

Scott, that really sucks. make sure you get some dehumidifiers in place ASAP and fans to move the air. you don't want to get mold growing. if you have sheetrock on the walls you may want to cut the lower foot out to prevent mold and speed the drying process. good luck

Um, okay, that's 2 Megoheads of the month who've had flooded basements. We better not have a Madden-style curse on our hands.

Good luck with the clean up, Scott.

I run a dehumidifier down there all spring and summer. And I plan to put a few fans down there tomorrow after I haul all of the soaked rugs and crap out.

the pump has been pumping full speed for over three hours and it pumps 2760 gallons per hour. There was a might bit of water down there. My entire neighborhood is pumping right now. The ball field over at the school playground is underwater up to the top of the highest bleacher. Some people are being evacuated about a half mile away as the water is expected to be over their roof by morning. As I was driving home earlier I stopped at a red light and the Lebanon sewer was so flooded that the sewer manhole was floating 6 inches off the ground as water poured out all around it. This is crazy. I don't think the Agnes flood of '72 was this bad.

Crap, that sucks, I feel for you. Hope nothing got too damaged. Some people might have water over their roof?? I couldn't even wrap my head around that, that would be terrible!
