Any of you guys have a juicer?

I used to have a Jack Lalanne Juicer years ago...but it broke down.

Believe it or not...I actually love vegetables...and juicing both fruits and vegetables...are awesome...better than drinking a V8...that's for sure.

I have two in mind...both more durable, more heavy duty, and much pricier than the Lalanne Juicer.

The Breville Juice Fountain Elite and the Omega VRT350HD...they are both about the same price...in the $350 range.

The BIG difference between the two...is that the Breville only has a one year warranty...while the Omega has a ten year guarantee...huge difference.

I like the speed and power of the Breville...it also has a bigger opening, so you don't have to cut as much fruits and vegetables...but it's very loud.

The Omega is much quieter...but slower (doesn't mean it's not powerful though)...and has a smaller opening, so you have to cut fruits and vegetables into smaller pieces...but check out when the guy in the video juices tomatoes...what a huge difference...the Omega clearly trumps the Breville (at 14:50 in the video). The Omega tomato juice looks like V8...the Breville tomato juice looks like half foam and half mud...lol.

Hey Consumer Reports have the Hamilton Beach Big Mouth Pro #67650 rated best and says it only costs 80 bucks.Says it extracted more juice than any other models.Hope this helps.

My sister had that one (what a coincidence, lol)...she bought it from QVC...it's super loud and flimsy made...it was braking down and getting louder and hotter after each use (she was using a lot of carrots for example)...she got rid of it.

The reason it's rated high because it works good in the beginning, and people tend to vote too early...before it brakes down...I dunno...I kinda see this model more as a toy than as an industrial quality juicer.

We have a Jack Lalanne one that's still going strong. I'm not much of a fruit eater, so it's great to make a juice with various fruits, slam it down and get my full day's worth. Those two both look pretty sweet. If they are the same price, I'd personally go for the one with the better warranty and is quieter.

Yes...I think I'm going with the Omega...can't beat the 10 year warranty...plus it's super quiet...especially compared to the Breville (did you see them in action in the provided video?).

The only thing I don't like about the Omega is its small opening feeder hole for the fruits and veggies...you have to cut them up pretty thinly...whereas on the Breville...you can just put in huge pieces...which is a major plus for that model. But at the same token, you don't really need the plunger to feed the stuff into the Omega (its self-feeding)...and in the Breville...you do need to push the stuff down with the plunger. Like I've said before...both models have pros and cons.

But overall...I think the Omega one is better for my needs...I absolutely love tomato juice...and if you looked at the videos...noticed how much better the tomato juice looked in the Omega juicer....lol...

I found this pretty cool video of this couple...they showcase the Hurom juicer...which is basically an older model of its cousin (same company)...the Omega VRT350HD...

It juices wheatgrass...and makes banana ice cream...something the Breville does not do.

The Omega can make sherbets out of frozen fruits because of its slow RPM motor...the super high RPM of the Breville would just liquify frozen fruits.

The guy at the end says get rid of your Breville...lol.
