At my one job we're under the CAW; and they've been pretty much useless for us. I've come to realize that unions aren't really a solution; they're a symptom. Without them, most companies would ream the employeees as much as they could. (More result for less expense is sorta what businesses are based on.) But a lot of unions ARE companies these days, and work in their own interest more than for the employees. Luckily those interests are often complimetary.

We have a contract coming due in April; and I'm expecting a BOSAR.
