Those are pretty neat. I like stuff like that.

Those are some cool ideas for old vinyl. I still think I prefer mine going round and round on the turntable at 33 rotations per minute playing sweet, crackly music....!
sigpic Oh then, what's this? Big flashy lighty thing, that's what brought me here! Big flashy lighty things have got me written all over them. Not actually. But give me time. And a crayon.

Since I am a vinyl collector and own several priceless gems I wouldn't even think about wrecking them. There are some records out there that people have in their very collection that are priceless and they don't know it. There are some good resource books at libraries that tell you what to look for. Don't trust anything on the Internet!

My daughter bought a handful of cheapy vinyls at the local Goodwill and tacked them up on the wall through the center hole as decoration. Personally, I have taken some of my vinyls (especially with interesting covers like Beatles Sgt. Pepper or Lynyrd Skynyrd 2nd Helping) frame and hang them up. They sell inexpensive record frames at A.C. Moore. Find a 40% coupon on the internet and I believe the frames are $5 (maybe less) and voila cheap chic art.

It's sad that most kids don't even know what they are when they see them. We are getting old indeed.

People will find ways to Repurpose items all the times. I guess it's better than throwing them in the trash which is what a lot of people do.

Vinyl still blows away CDs for true sound quality. It's a shame most of the younger generation has no idea what music should sound like.
