I wish I had a smartphone. My phone is pretty stupid.

I am seriously impressed with this thing. I actually got for a project I'm developing and honestly couldn't be more excited... details will follow in the coming weeks.

WOW, phones are posting on their own now! That is indeed one smart phone!

          From another smart phone

Cool Jim... I thought it would only be fitting to reply via my smart phone.
          Anywho...these things are addictive!

I have a "smart" phone, but sometimes it acts more stupid than most of the "dumb" phones I've owned. Case in point: I got my Verizon bill a couple of months back and saw that I had a charge on it for a call made from my phone to somewhere over in the Balkans. Problem is, I don't KNOW anybody in the Balkans.

I called Verizon and they said rarely (very rarely) cell signals will cross in transit and my phone may've picked up on someone else's signal going to the Balkans and made the call. They gave me a refund, which made me happy.

I put a dunce cap on my phone and made it sit in the corner for an hour.....!

sigpic Oh then, what's this? Big flashy lighty thing, that's what brought me here! Big flashy lighty things have got me written all over them. Not actually. But give me time. And a crayon.

If I was ever going to get into a sales gig full time I could so sell these things. This one in particular is the Nokia E5 and is serviced by way of the Wal-Mart Straight Talk plan. $45 bucks a month for unlimited everything is amazing! Sure the phone was $199 but from what I'm seeing is worth every penny and then some. Plus the month to month no contract plan really rocks. The possibilities for these phones is mindblowing to me... especially with the potential for qr codes. I'm in love I tell ya!

and now Jim's discovered another really cool aspect of the smartphones... buy re-mego's while you eat! In an effort to destress last night the wife, baby and I went out to dinner where (while waiting on our grub) Igot an ebay, email alert about a Brock Sampson on the cheap. Feeling frisky I said to myself "Why not?" and went for it.

The possibilities are truly limitless. Plus considering the size of these things, for me they are much more practicle and just as functional as the ipads and other such tablets. Now all I gotta do is maintain my self control.

Smart phones are great tools to have and use, but don't discount the tablets (such as the iPad), either. I'm of the mind that they are the way of the future for computers. Eventually, laptops will likely become obsolete and desktops probably won't be too far behind as people live such fast-paced lives that they need to take "everything" with them....!
