Man what a great world series we have had this year. It is so refreshing to watch these young kids still playing for the love of the game. Both Japan and the California teams have been fun to watch. And what a great game going on right now. GOOOOOOOOOOOOO California, bring it back home.

I think it is the best international country against the best U.S. team in the championship and has been that way for at least 20 years. I don't think any European country has ever made it. It is usually a country from Asia (Japan, Taiwan, S. Korea) but sometimes Mexico and a couple of South American Countries. The U.S. has typically dominated but lately it seems to split (Japan is usually has a great little league team).

I don't know why any European team would want to get invited...you guys don't even know what the heck is baseball...let alone know how to play the bloody game...




In all seriousness...yes...some European teams have competed in the Little Leagues in the past...but have not been too successful.

The Netherlands was the only European team that reached this year's Little League tournament...but were eliminated in the First Round.

That's probably due to the proximity to the USA.

But aside from northern Mexico, the Caribbean, Nicaragua, and Venezuela...the rest of Latin America don't really follow baseball.

Ever heard of Brazilians, Argentines, Uruguayans, Chileans, Bolivians, Peruvians, Ecuadorians, Paraguayans...Major League baseball players?

Perhaps Colombians...but they are way behind Caribbean teams in terms of talent.

I mean...yeah...I'm sure there are baseball leagues of some sort in some of those countries...but they are minor-level D teams...with ZERO television coverage....and hold very little interest to the majority of the population.

Soccer is KING in those countries....and I do mean...KING.

The only true South American country that loves baseball is Venezuela...and the irony...is that Venezuela has historically been the worst soccer country in the continent...they all love to play against Venezuela...lol.

I forgot the two smallest South American countries...Guyana and Suriname.

Guyana love cricket...and Suriname exports a lot of soccer players to the Netherlands.
