Hello, best if I introduce myself etc (apologies if this is posted in the wrong section)
I've recently purchased some mego figures and thought it best if I joined what looked to be the best place online to talk all things mego.
I live in London and have mainly collected vintage action man but have always kept an eye on mego stuff, as a child I had "The Planet of The Apes" figures, Starsky and Hutch, the Fonz and Superman but the one figure that stands out was the Lion Rok US pilot.
The US pilot came into my possession whilst living with my Grandmother quite by chance, I found him in the Woods in Hampshire attached to a parachute dressed only in his trousers and jacket, no boots or accessories.
He was great, I think the appeal was how small he was and very well made, he became a favourite toy (and like the rest of my given away toys, sadly missed) after looking fo rthe figure for years quite vaguely when I found out on this site that he was a lion rock I would watch the sales on ebay and think "I'll get one of those one day", I finally pressed the bid button and bought one.
Consequently I bought another three days later and now I'm waiting on a delivery of another five in bulk.
Sadly they are all undressed and I may need advice on different action figures that have the same clothes sie for instance I've been looking at modern madelman as they are described as 7" also (any help on this would be gratefully received)
I have a passion for toy photography and look forward to taking pics of my new troop which is on route
I look forward to your sought after advice and enjoying any correspondence and keenly reading all the posts on so many varied subjects.
here's the kind of pics I like to take of my toys
best wishes and respect
