    Regional Fast Food Burgers

What region specific McDonald's, BK etc burgers have you tried?

I had a McLobster in Halifax. It tasted like a dried fishy turd. Very disappointing. More interesting was the Mystery burger I had at a McDonald's in Japan, which turned out to be a deep fried patty of macaroni salad with tiny shrimp.

I have to admit that I have fond memories of the McRib as a kid... Where can you still get one of those?

Right now, you can get one in Canada. I don't recommend it, it's like visiting your high school sweetheart and she's now crazy and weird. I was sad inside.

The local Captain Ds was the only one that carried clam strips. You would think a seafood chain would have it all of their stores.

I used to live in Kingston where they did all the pilot test marketing in Canada... so we had McPizza first and McDonald's delivered back in my student days.

Handy solution for the munchies during screenings of Monty Python and the Holy Grail or Pink Floyd's The Wall. Probably wouldn't have ever wanted try it otherwise.

On the MD Eastern Shore, McDonalds sold Crab Cake Sandwiches. I love crabs as do most from around this area. Those sandwiches were downright horrible. I have heard visitors from out of the area say they like them but we are so used to having access to fresh lump Maryland Blue Crab meat and have had incredible homemade crab cake sandwiches. I doubt it will ever make it outside the Eastern Shore.

I love crab cakes unless you get the skimpy kind that basically just taste like turkey stuffing

In India, I had a Maharaji Mac (I think that's what it was called) that was like a Big Mac with Veggie patties. They had some other McCurry dishes, but I passed on those delicasies.

Florida doesn't have any regional stuff, cause its mostly the dumping ground for people from other states.

No regional fast food items here that I know of. But as soon as I see McElk Burgers or Fillet O' Asian Carp, I will let you know.

We are getting a new franchise here in the Louisville area called "Smashburger." Never had one, but I hear they're pretty good. Look forward to trying one once the place gets open....

We've got the "Bert's Burger" at the local Wendy's... Something in conjunction with Bert Blyleven (local baseball HOFer) where some portion of the proceeds from that burger go to charity.
