Anybody know of a Good website that gives FREE guitar cords & Lyrics?

Well, after my great Toy "sell off" I was able to buy my Rock-A-Billy Guitar...and I'm a little out of practice. So I was wondering if anybody knew of any good websites that give away FREE lyrics & Guitar cords(not tabs)?

    Thanks, Dane

Yeah, YouTube is helpful on the cords...but I'm lazy about having to write down the Lyrics, I want to be able run them off my printer.

Yeah, Youtube actually has been a great spot for alot of musicians I know who are in cover bands and some wise *** usually puts a version of how the song is played. Sometimes they are not accurate if you are looking for a certain way to play a song so watch carefully.

Typically I go to ultimate-guitar.com, been using them for years..

That site doesn't offer on-line transposing up-or-down, but other sites'll do that for you.

I typically only use youtube for getting down a riff or solo, tips on slide guitar, or Open-tuning. I learned how fricken' easy it was to play classics like 'Honkytonk Women' or 'Tumblin Dice' by using Open G tuning.

Ultimate Guitar can do transposing. Most songs have an option that you can opt to go several half-steps up or down. I use that all the time if I'm having trouble playing a chord. If I transpose it to something I can play more readily, then I can use the capo.

Oh, ok... The dozen I checked didn't, but that's fine. I know others that do, and transposing's simple to do anyways without help.

Have you looked into your local community college?

Many have guitar classes...and pretty cheap too.

No, but I've got a couple of Elvis Song Books coming from Amazon. They're really cool because not only do they come with cords & lyrics...but CD's with backing tracks. Which is cool because I've got a UX-2 Pod 6 recording studio for my Laptop. Which is great because I don't need a drummer or base player, and I can lay down a Guitar track first...and then vocals! Man, I can't wait until they get here!
