    Changing tastes? Childhood favorites?

Is there any food you hated as a kid you really like now? Off the top of my head, I'd have to go with Dutch windmill cookies.

What did you really like then? I don't know if anyone remembers these, but I was crazy about Space Food Sticks.

      Cookies?

      Come on now...that's too easy...lol.

I hated vegetables...now I love them...can't have a steak without some grilled asparagus for example...yum.

I also hated beans...if you can believe that (being of Mexican ancestry)...but now I love them.

I also thought raw oysters was the most disgusting thing ever...but now I can down a couple of dozen raw oysters in my sleep...lol.

I think the reverse would be more fun...things you liked as a kid...but you hate now.

Mmm...maybe I'll start that one right now...

Ive never been a fussy eater, so I didnt really have any food I disliked, I think the classic for everyone was spinach, love the stuff now. Steak "tartar" was one, remember my mum making some, and couldnt get my head round, how can someone eat raw meat. These days I sometimes eat pigs brains, fried with onions, garlic and eggs, with a dash of lemon juice, on some toast

Liver is one thing I can think of. Great liver is so tasty.

As a small kid I use to eat ketchup on everything, ever since I became a teenager I flipped a switch or something - it's just way too sweet for me.

As a child, I couldn't stand tomatoes or onions. Now I love them. On the flipside, as a child I loved creamed corn, now just the thought of it makes me gag. When I was little, I would also raid the refrigerator for all kinds of cheese; edam, mozerella, American. Now the only cheeses I like are swiss and parmesan.

I never ate green beans as a kid but now I like them, especially the ones in the tv dinners.

As a kid I ate a lot of Spegetti Os. Nowadays I won't even think about eating a can.

I loved the caramel Space Food Sticks as a kid. I would have to say vegetables would be something I didn't care much for as a kid, but love now. Radishes, beets, that kind of stuff.
                  It's all good!

well so much for having dinner at alex's place... ever

for me saurkraut was perhaps the most nauseating food known to my young nostrils and tongue... now days I can't image a smoked sausage without it.

Wasn't a big Chinese food eater in my youth or much of a beer connoisseur, but these days, give me a good plate of Mongolian Pork and good, dark stout and I'm a happy camper. I've also recently developed a strong liking for green and red bell peppers and mushrooms....!
sigpic Oh then, what's this? Big flashy lighty thing, that's what brought me here! Big flashy lighty things have got me written all over them. Not actually. But give me time. And a crayon.
