Im devastated!

Ive been on disability for a month and a half due to losing my eyesight from diabetes.Luckily my Dr was able to get me back to 20/40 in my left eye and in my right eye 20/30.He also okayed me to return to work on Monday.This guy is one of the most acclaimed eye drs in the state of Michigan.So before I go back my employers insists that I go to the Ready Med and get a Department of Transportation physical,So Get examined by someone who kept having problems with the outdated eye tester macxhine,she kept saying that she was such a "******" which I thought was kinda unprofessional among other things,and AI was told by the Dr at the readymed that my vision was 20/70 and 20/50 so basically Im out of work.Im hoping something can be done as my dr is providing with proof of his tests but who knows.I dont know what Ill do,I love my job plus I just got married and we have a house to pay for.UGH!

yes sorry to hear that hope things work out.I cant relate to the medical problems but I can relate to being unemployed at the moment its sucks arse .

I just went and got everything straightened out on my end so we'll see what happens tomorrow.My immediate boss and the human resourses guy seem to be on my side,its not over yet!

Hope it all works out ok for you, I suffer from type 1 diabetes and it's only just started to affect my eyes.

With this desease you do need the help of a good doctor and it seems like you have one.

Good luck with this. I've struggled with really bad eyesight all of my life (special training to even drive) and I know it can be frustrating, to say the least.
