No longer MDA National Chairman and not even appearing at this year's telethon, as originally planned...So in essence last year was his swan song.

Jerry has done amazing work over the years and deserves recoginition. The telethon won't be the same without him singing "we'll never walk alone".

That's kind of what I thought. I remember seeing him recently on tv and he didn't look too healthy. I know a lot of people don't think he's funny and have seen him lash out at times, but I do give him a lot of props for all the work he has done raising money over the years for a cause that he stands behind.

It's amazing he has been able to do this as long as he has. It seems like he has been in poor health since I was a teenager... And I'm 46!

Tony Orlando would be a good replacement host.

Us East Coasties have been watching Tony for over 30 years as the Jersey host.

Too bad. Understandable that he has to quit sometime, but sad that he won't be able to make an appearance at all. My wife and I saw him in a stage production of Damn Yankees years ago and he was great in that. Really knows how to play to an audience.
                  It's all good!
