    The Demon getting married?

Ahhhh...Gene proposes...BUT...we don't get Shannon's answer until NEXT season. Jeez. I don't think either one of these people can lift their finger for a real moment unless it's paid for. How much you want to bet she says' "No"? The whole thing is a contrivance.

I have ignored that show for quite some time now. He is an entertaining person and a marketing genius, but I think he needs to cool it for a while. My wife really liked Ozzy Osbourne after watching his show and saw that he is a real person and not the freakish, bat eating, person we all know from the past. Gene Simmons is all pomp and ego and really not that interesting (at least from a show perspective).

They let the cat out of the bag last week anyways. Look at Shannon hand. No ring, then near the end of the episode, ring. This week's too.

For me the big tell in all of this is the daughter... Who is clearly very upset and doesn't want to be doing all this family counseling in front of the cameras. While I don't doubt Gene and Shannon might be playing it up for the cameras, there is definitely some real pain that the family is actually going through. I don't quite think it's necessarily going to be solved with a wedding.

And for my next prediction...Shannon says, "Yes"...eventually (could drag it out a bit for more "drama").

Not much of a prediction considering she's clearly sporting a ring in the bumper scenes (as pointed out by jwyblejr).

I'm not convinced that Sopie's discomfort stems from the publicity of this perceived personal saga. Another possibility is that she's extremely uncomfortable being engaged in this level of deceit, and deeply resents Dad for her "enlistment" (not to mention the humiliation of it all).

Im glad that he finally did it. Dudes to old to be funky around and has everything that he could only imagine. Maybe it took a show to get them married hopely that old man learns from his mistakes.

I'm sure the answer is yes, then next season will be dedicated to wedding planning, invites, etc., with Gene walking around looking lost & befuddled. Major emphasis on the cost of the whole thing & Gene being cheap (as if he couldn't afford whatever she wants!).
I wonder if Ace & Peter will be invited...or hired as waiters for the reception?

You would think that 28 years, a home and two kids are much more commitment than a ring and a piece of paper. At this point it's a gesture that he has to make to keep his family together.

Hopefully they will continue with counseling sans cameras even when they are finally married.

People in my family watch this. Gene is all about money and has absolutely zero moral and it's obvious the whole thing is staged and Shannon is just going along for the ride, because I'm sure she's no different. Why else would a woman like her stay with an ugly two timer with no personality like Simmons?

...and speaking of Ozzy, he was much better as the bat decapitating, drugged out Prince of Darkness than the bumbling old fool that show made him out to be.

I have such a respect for guys like Ronnie James Dio who never made fools of themselves and died with some dignity and untarnished legends.

Giving this a bump because E! confirmed the marriage is happening in October.

actually i gotta say after watching the episode where he went to isreal and he broke down crying i found a new level of respect for Gene, say what you will but he's not an actor and I felt his breakdown was very heartfelt.

I thought the same as well the emotions of his dad and family over there. The man has been blessed from beyond gods and having the lifestyle you have to come to change someday if you really give crap about the other half. But good for him and its about f-ing time!

They are getting married. That's been out of the bag for quite awhile now even before the show aired.
Personally, I think the Gene and Shannon episodes were all fake. They both did that for ratings. They even appeared on a couple of talk shows and pulled off some stupid arguing stunts to promote the show.

                              Fake.
