You must try to generate happiness within yourself. If you aren't happy in one place, chances are you won't be happy anyplace. -Ernie Banks -
I disagree; mainly because if you get sacked for being a d-bag, it's only a matter of time before I'm out. I like everyone here and love the posts--you're all interesting, cool folks--but I'm telling you, as sure as the Sun will rise tomorrow, I'm going to say the wrong thing at some point.
In fact, let me just go ahead and apologize in advance.Comment

The original penal colony (or should I say "colonies" -- all 13 of them) for British n'er do wells had a revolution and severed ties with Britannia, the mother country. They didn't send too many of them up here to Canada. That was reserved for the indentured servants of the Hudson's Bay Company.
I agree, though, the guy should apologize. Like torgospizza says, we all have moments when we can be d-bags, and mego*** had his moment in his PM to Bluebird.Last edited by Joe90; Jul 19, '11, 8:42 PM.90, Joe 90.... Great Shakes : Milk Chocolate -- Shaken, not Stirred.Comment

Weirdly, the tone of that message sounds like a very particular person who used to haunt this board. He would use phrases like "dumpster diver" and "serious collector" and would have weird blog issues on here. One week he would opine at length how reproduction pieces were destroying the vintage toy market and then the next week how well the vintage toy market was doing due to various factors. When I called him on that particular paradox, he did reply that I no longer had permission to address him directly.sigpicComment

FYI, it took me about two seconds to find who you were talking about by doing a Google search on the Museum for that phrase.
I've never heard of that member, probably because they've only been here two months. He sounds like a real jerk, though; people who lord over those who make less money than they do have no class and no manners."Time to nut up or shut up"-Tallahassee

I can't believe I had missed this thread, no one deserves to be talked to like that...I don't think he should be banned, but he should be put in his place by the mods...Let him know he's not special or better then anyone else"Time to nut up or shut up"-Tallahassee

I say stupid stuff sometimes but that was just plain mean spirited! No place for behavior like that on this board. There are more kind people here then most every other board I have ever been to. Fortunately the voice of one does not speak for all of us.
These are toys. Expensive at times but still just toys. This is not a hobby that needs elitists. I would guess that this person has done more damage to them self here then banning them would have done. What a jerk!
