For those fans of GALAXY QUEST, thought I'd mention
I find myself watching it many, many times even tho' I
just bought it on a lark...good movies are like that...standing
up to repeated viewings and all, I mean
"No. No no no no no no. You done got me talkin' politics. I didn't wanna'. Like I said y'all, I'm just happy to be alive. I think I'll scoot over here right by this winda', let this beautiful carriage rock me to sleep, and dream about how lucky I am." - Chris Mannix

Yes, Hue...I never get tired of watching Galaxy Quest either, what a great, fun, movie...definitely Tim Allen's best.

Yes Tim Allen is great in that movie---and it bears mentioning that
for my money that's one of the best ensemble casts in a comedy movie
        ever assembled---quite spectacular really

              1. Raiders of the Lost Ark
              2. Casablanca
              3. Singin' In the Rain
              4. North By Northwest
              5. African Queen

I picked my favorite movies that are also fun. I figure if I'm on an island, I probably don't want anything too heavy.

                  I would take:

                  1. SPARTACUS
                  2. LotR :THE RETURN OF THE KING (extended version)
                  3. STAR WARS A NEW HOPE (normal version)
                  4. THE GOONIES
                  5. SILENT RUNNING

Let's see...I'm actually going to put in the movies that aren't actually my favourite ones, as they're too heavy for being trapped on a desert isle. I'm going to do the ones that I seem to watch everytime they're on tv, even if I own them:

                    1. A League of Their Own
                    2. Now and Then
                    3. You've Got Mail
                    4. Indiana Jones (all of them, because I'm cheating)
                    5. LOTR (all of them, ditto)

                      2. Tron

                        1) Planet of the Apes-1968 (but I might need to run this title past Type1Kirk to make sure I'm not hijacking this thread.)

                        2) King Kong (toss up between the original and Peter Jackson's version.)

                        3) High Plains Drifter

                        4) Will Penny

                        5) Dirty Harry

Here's my five in no specific order...

The Empire Strikes Back (original version)
                            The Greatest Story Ever Told
                            The Ten Commandments
                            Batman The Movie (1966 obviously)
                            Cabin Boy

There are so many movies that I love to watch over and over. This list might have been different had I answered it tomorrow. The possibilities boggle the mind.
