*sniffle* That brought a tear to my eye. There will never be an era of TV like that again, and probaly never a TV comedy writer like Sherwood Schwartz. RIP

The Brady Bunch and Gillligan's Island....two of my favorites of all time. I also loved that he created both theme songs and pretty much gave the background story to the entire series in about one minute. I bet a majority of adults 35+ can name both songs without hearing any lyrics just the music even if they never watched either show.

Most of you may NOT know this.., but his daughter Hope married Laurence Juber, whom most of you know as an outstanding guitarist, lead guitarist for McCartney's last Wings lineup..

I conversed with Laurence a few times over the last few years, so I emailed my condolences to him and Hope earlier today.
                    Peace.. Through Superior Firepower.

Hope bought some Brady Bunch House blueprints from me a few years back...she ended up getting 3 copies, I believe on for her, one for her brother Lloyd and one for Sherwood himself.

The Brady Bunch was definitely my favorite rerun when I was a kid...Thanks Mr. Schwarts for getting me through childhood with the Bradys and the Castaways!

RIP. A friend told me at work today. I was sad, but glad that the had the opportunity he had to do what he did for TV.
                            It's all good!

Oddly enough, I was just running around a flea market this weekend yelling "Skipper! Professor! Mr and Mrs Howell!"

I know the folks at Mego weren't too fond of Gilligan's Island, but I probably would have really dug Gilligan's Island Mego action figures as a kid.
