Stupid things you did as a kid

Ever reminisce about dumb things you did as a kid and thinking about it today it kind of scares you how dumb you were and how lucky you were you had not broken your neck ?

A few off the top my head.

I used to regulary bikeride over a 10'+ deep gully where a bridge once was ... The bridge was long gone and all that remained was a 12" wide plank about 12' long ... I'd ride my bike over this full speed without even thinking
If I ever went off it was concrete below.

Me and my buddies used to hang out in an old abandoned rotting 3 story house ... It was so rotten there were a few times we actually fell through the floor ... We would just get up and keep on playing
A few years later the whole house collapsed from wind and rain during a thunderstorm.

A little older (17-ish) ....
Drag racing on winding back roads at night.
Today, i'd be afraid to drive these roads over 35 mph in the day.

Walked into our pool wearing my dad's super heavy foot weights, I had a real "Diving suit" fascination as a child. Just forgot the whole "breathing" part of the equation.

My cousins and I would go roof hoping we would get together at night climb up on a garage or house then jump from one roof to the next we would do this for hours at a time. and out of the 3 of us we never did get hurt we got chased alot but never got hurt.

Me and a few of my friends used to play in the sewers we were explorers looking for treasure but all we really ever found was a bunch of crap

I'll have to think on it for a few and add some more dumb stuff later

I thought it would be funny to let a car run over my Stretch Monster! One of the few toys worth a substantial amount without the packaging and I basically killed it.
In my teens I started practicing pro wrestling moves because I loved wrestling. I did a lot of crazy stuff and am shocked I didn't seriously hurt myself. Finally one day I landed wrong, right onto my ribs. Luckily no cracking or breaking just pain. Pain which finally woke me up to the fact that I was being really, really stupid.

We used to hang out at this huge railroad bridge back in the day.

The entire bridge is hollow with all kinds of passages in it.

For a kid it's literally the funnest thing ever.

... but today I would never go in there.

we were not allowed to watch tv, so half an hour before our dad got home, we would ice down the television, with real ice. we're not talking about making sure the ice was in plastic either and we were not aware of electric components and water and the whole shock thing. just ice melting on top of the television to cool it down, so we wouldn't get in trouble.

My personal masterpiece of stupidity happened at our cottage when I was eight. Since I couldn't pull start the motor, I decided to try and row our old fishing boat out to the middle of the lake. The best time to sneak out and do this was when it was nearly dark. I did manage to row all the way out and then I took the oars back off so I could try again to pull start the motor. Unable to do so and also tired and bored, I played around and somehow got my index fingers stuck in the oarlock sockets. Here it was cold, dark and I was stretched so tight from oarlock to oarlock that I hurt. In the end, I floated out there for a few hours, suffered mild hypothermia and possibly a dislocated shoulder that my uncle popped back.

Hmmm...well, I remember turning the corner on my bike in front of a car, within a hair's breath of getting hit. I also remember sleeping on a garage roof across the street from my boyfriend's house when I knew he was grounded. I left the house after my mom went to work swing shift at the hospital. The owner of the house never knew I was there, and I was gone and back before my mom came home.

did the racing thing a lot in HS
we use to egg peoples houses on Friday nights (we were idiots)
I use to sneak into the girls bathrooms with chicks to do naughty things many times female teachers would come in and I'd be hiding
play paintball in abandoned buildings including this creepy old looney home that had burned down (crazy as hell)

I did TOO many stupid things.

My friend and I were playing darts. Real metal darts trying to hit the dartboard. He went up to collect one and I thought it would be cool if I whizzed one by his head...Doh! It stuck right in his back. He was in agony screaming at me to pull it out. I did. We weren´t that close anymore after that. So sorry Chris. I miss ya man!

Spraying scotchguard into a shirt and huffing it to get high. Same with Freon...Drinking cough syrup to get drunk...All kinds of crazy crap.

Life is straightened out now though.
