That was perfectly scripted, could not have been better. Jeter is a Yankee, and I know people like to hate them, but he's one of the good guys. He plays the game with class and honor, traits that are often lacking in today's game. Terrific story.
I almost had a psychic girlfriend but she dumped me before we met.
If anyone here believes in psychokinesis, please raise my hand.
Man that's a good one what to do if you caught the ball. Well it has to depend on your situation also. I would be 50-50. I would sold it for the funds to pay for my house and have a good small cushion. Then the other side of would given it back to live the experience to meet Jeter and get the rest of the items they given me. Live once and it's a hard decison to make but either way you did good for yourself if you think about it. I'm winning.....as Charlie Sheen would say.
I was kinda surprised to find out he's the first Yankee to do it. Baseball sure ran the full spectrum this week with this and what happended in Texas at the Rangers game.
sigpic WANTED: Boxed, Carded and Kresge Carded WGSH
My voice is totally horse Today rooting for my Boy Jeter. I have a followed his career since he was in the minors an the man is amazing and has a real flair for the dramatic. Hitting a homerun and then going 5 for 5 with the winning RBI class act all the way.

No brainer for me...I keep and sell the ball.
Jeter is a multi-millionaire who plays for a billion dollar team.
I'm one who never gets attached to players/celebrities (or the moment)...I mean...I'm not a Yankee fan...but I would do the very same thing to my local teams...Raiders, A's, Warriors...I rather keep their balls and get some money (they can afford it)...they can keep their autographs or season tickets.
We are in an economic recession...baseball players are not.
The guy who returned the ball...is in debt...he has a few hundred thousand dollars in loans to pay off...I'm sorry...but not a smart decision from him.
Once the smokes settles in...and having time to think about it...he will regret it...I mean...he got tickets for the reminder of the season...met Jeter in person, and got eight signed items from him...and that's it...a bargain for the Yankees...lol.
Being a Red Sox fan homeboy would have paid me quite well for it or it would get actioned off in New York City. I'd also write "Red Sox rule" on the ball in sharpie! (nah, just joking about the writing)
