...the rest of the South American teams have not been very good...perhaps Chile a little bit early in its history (I believe they came in third place in an early World Cup once)...and then Colombia...number four world-ranked that one year in World Cup 1994 (USA)...with Pablo Escobar's backing...looked like it was a monster team...but then you know what happened...they crashed and burned against Romania, team USA and Switzerland...lol.
But if you look at history...taking Mexico for example as a gauge...the Mexicans have a head-to-head winning record against all the South Americans except for Brazil and Argentina.
Mexico stands ahead of Uruguay, Paraguay, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Bolivia, Peru, and Venezuela...in head-to-head competition.

My point is that aside from three or so teams...South America is overrated...so stop hating on CONCACAF teams...
