It really was Freakin Funny! Not so much at the time, but later that night when I was telling my wife the story over dinner. By dinner time I had more in me than a Crispy Chicken minus the chicken and 3 cookies, so my mood was a bit lighter.

It is funny now that it is over and done with. Maybe you should have posted this over on Txteach thread to enter your hat to win the Storm Trooper action figure that he is giving away.

I would imagine that you were not a very happy camper at the time it happened though. Being that is was your lunch and all. Having to go back a second time when you really should not have had to in the first place. Glad that it is all water under the bridge now so to speak.

How in the heck did you actually gain weight from being a vegetarian? I always thought peeps lost weight. I did not think that there was anything filling enough to even make you gain weight.

It may sound funny to some, but at just one nugget per order every other day can really add up over time if you are a regular there.

When you go back for the "free" lunch, make sure you have extra time allotted so they can actually chase, capture, and deep fry the chicken. Of course, that may be more work than those folks with attention deficit can manage.

I rarely do fast food places much at all, but when and IF I do happen to want something fast and fall prey to one of them I ALWAYS check the contents BEFORE I pull away any more. I to have been screwed before a couple of times in the past.

One particular time I ended up with someone else's order which turned out to be a bonus for me. Probably sucked for them though. Had I known that before I had pulled away I would have reported it at the time. However, Like most of us would have done I drove away happily thinking that I got what "I" ordered and not someone elses stuff. It was later on and many miles away that I actually found out that it was not my order.

                    I know, right!

So I went back for the free lunch today. It took several minutes for the manager to remember me from yesterday before she would authorize the free lunch; yeah, like there is some other fat, short, bald old guy who got shorted the chicken in there chicken sandwich yesterday. Then again... maybe there was.

My chicken sandwich today actually had chicken in it; go figure! I wanted so badly to ask the cooks if they knew what chicken looked like before and after its been cooked. Alas, my conscious overwhelmed my mouth and maintained my composure and manners. Damn those ethics of social acceptance!

You should fool them next time. After you get your meal drive around the building eat a couple of nuggets and go back in telling them you are missing two nuggets......And when they say.....

(McD's) no way....we have only been shorting you one nugget not two.....that is when you say.....

(Da) BUSTED!!! Now give me the rest of my nuggets that you guys have been ripping me off over the years you rat bastadges.

Unfortunately, I have to do the same thing. Especially since I live too far away to go back.

Try ordering something out of the ordinary. I was going carb free a year+ ago and would ask for a double cheeseburger off the $1 menu, no ketchup, no bun and it was as if McDonald's had to shut down for the night because they could not figure out why someone would want a burger without the bun. I finally gave up and just asked for it without ketchup and threw away the bun to save on time. I guarantee if you walk into MD's and ask for anything other than the normal; the staff freaks out over your order. As far as chicken goes; I would go to Chik-Fil-A if there is one near you. Where I live, they kill MCD's and Burger King for quality and customer service. I honestly don't mind paying a little extra to have someone actually care about your order. I was pleasantly surprised to have someone walk to our table and offer to clear our table for us.

There is no more "hold the pickles, hold the lettuce, have it your way" Mickey D's and BK are off the mark....Chik-Fil-A is by far the best fast food restaurant around but they only have chicken which I love but only so far.....

My daughter is allergic to wheat so if we order a burger out it has to come without a bun. McDs will do this for her. The one closest to our place knows her now and can do it, no problem. If it's one we don't visit a lot they will do it as well. The biggest issue we have is usually the person taking the order can't figure out how to ring it up with no bun. But there is a way.

McDs isn't great when you "special order" something. My Dad orders his burgers with no onions and it usually means a little longer wait even though it's less to put on the burger.

I also remember going through the drive thru once like you with no one behind me and they asked me to pull up. I "No thanks, I'm good" and just waited by the window. I think this the person was dumbfounded that someone said no.
