RIP Alice Playten

Oh wow...I just found out she died this past Saturday, (6/25). If you don't know who she is, she played Alice on "The Lost Saucer":

She was the voice of Frances in the Frances series of book and tape sets (Bread and Jam for Frances), and she was even in that Koogle commercial we've seen:

Oh wow...I best remember her from playing Darkness' minion, Blix, in Ridley Scott's Legend (starring Tom Cruise)...Legend is one of my all time favorite fantasy movies...






It was a fantastic role...she's unrecognizable in that heavy makeup...but her wonderful acting comes through...awesome performance.

She's amazing as Blixx...

She also played another role in Legend...she dubs the voice of Gump...the actual Gump actor is David Bennent, best known from the film The Tim Drum, but he had a Swiss accent, so Riddley Scott used Playten's voice instead...
