I'm sorry to hear that. There really are no words or trite phrases I could say to express how bad I feel about the situation. I am glad to see you stopping by every now and then and hope you will stop by more frequently. I do find that this place is a good way just to escape the craziness of life even if it is for a few minutes here and there. Best wishes to you.

You know...it's really not necessary to even buy another house...John is now single...I believe he will be much happier renting (at least for now)...it will be stress free...and will not be tied down with another mortgage.

However...like you said...since the housing market is low now...he can certainly go for a cheap fixer upper...and fix it up himself over time...like a hobby...that should be a stress reliever.

John...by all means...get yourself a girlfriend...and forget about your ex altogether...you are doing the right thing by moving on...but for the love of God almighty...don't get married ever again...being single is fun...trust me...lol.

C'mon out to Baytown, housing is a heck of a lot cheaper out here. Or hell, com out and I'll buy you a beer. As long as you come out on a payday

Same thing happened to my best friend, he's wayyyyy happier now. It didn't take him long at all to get another home, and he had the foreclosure.

                John,
Best thing to remember is that you are in the here and now. Personally, I know I get wrapped up in my memories and the things that might have been quite a lot. The fact that I am on this site talking about so much of my youth is a testament to that. The past is archived. A fresh start does seem the best. My good thoughts are with you.

That's just miserable, John. Sooner or later you'll be on the other side of it. Hang in there.

John, I regret to hear the bad news. However, at the end of every dark tunnel is a light of hope. Things will not always be bad for you. You are on your way to an upward trend now. Time to live life and enjoy the ride/journey.

                    Best wishes!
Enjoy what you like, and let others enjoy what they like. (C) Azrak 2009

No bad news. Just glad the house is going to a family. The short sale is not as bad as a foreclosure. I do have an amazing girlfriend now whom I know isn't a cheater or liar. Life is looking up. I just have to deal with the ex concerning my daughter. The big problem is every time she talks to me she reveals more of what she did. Not that SUCKS. I did get a new bed by the way. I just came to the conclusion that my ex has some very disturbing problems that hopefully never affect my daughter.

It sounds like it's getting better for you, and I'm glad. You deserve a break, man. Like Hector was saying, there's nothing wrong with renting. Even people that used to talk about how important investing in houses (like Suzie Orman, f.ex.) was are actually rethinking how renting has been unduly maligned in our culture. Anyway, you know the important stuff, Tx--just take good care of yourself and your daughter. Hang tough, brother!

Thanks torgo, guess I never met you because I haven't been around. I'm coach or John, take your pick. Good to see nice new members around.

I have friends and family who have been in your shoes. It is strange how those who are/were close to us either rationalize their behavior or try to turn the tables to make you look like the bad guy.

Oh Adam you don't know the half of it. She called me names and blamed me for everything before coming clean. Like I said, a disturbed woman.
