The only reason I wouldn't necessarily call this hypocrisy is that Chris Hansen may have never stood behind anything he was doing on tv. Could have just been another tv gig. I think ironic is more appropriate. Hypocrisy is preaching a certain message that you supposedly stand behind but don't practice what you preach. An example would be the celebrity who preaches against eating meat or doing anything to animals but wears leather shoes or has other animal made accoutrements.

I think all celebs cheat.
It just goes with being a celeb and having an attitude you're better than and above everyone.

Yeah. In his analysis of the people who were caught he usually expressed surprise at the gall these people had. Some traveled accross multiple states, some brought enough beer to get an elephant drunk, one guy brought his child as an alibi to say he wasn't going to do anything. Chris Hansen didn't usually do any moral finger wagging.Comment
