Red Skull 2011 - Movie version costume

    Hi group.
As some of you know, I professionally costume aside from me Mego stuff.
My 16yr old son has caught the bug as well.

We spent the weekend at a bud's Comic Book shop; working the crowd as Iron Man and Red Skull. The town was having an annual celebration and the carnival part was right outside his door.

MegoMeet attendees have seen these two suits in person

MegoMeet 2011 was Red Skull's public debut.
However, this weekend's event was his first non-themed, public appearance.
Let me tell you folks, Red Skull drew mixed reactions from the crowd.

Just the mere sight of Red Skull made young boys, 8-12yrs old, cry...seriously....and I didn't even do anything or say anything!

A vast majority of people had no clue who I was. Once I explain Red Skull and they can see him on the big screen next month; they said it was a movie they HAD to go see since they were so impressed with the costume.

    Anywhoos...here's some pics for ya:

I agree! What a classic shot at the end! Hey didn't you come as Iron Man to Wonderfest in Louisville, KY last year? I remember seeing that Iron Man gear and loving it.

Actually, no. I had a bud who lived down there and he had a suit like mine..but I think he's sold it off since. I wouldn't mind trekking down there for the event myself.

was scheduled for an event today...pretty small-time, and pretty dead.
The heat kept everyone home; yet, Sean and I are outside in 95 degree weather wearing suits

Sean's friend has an 18 megapixel Canon DSLR camera...wow, took some nice shots.

(sorry if you're on dial-up still...)

and after a disappointing day...I took matters into my own hands....

That skull costume is great! The design really captures the spirit of the Character and yet looks modern...and to think it is Hugo Weaving in the film.....it will rock! The kids must have just loved all that!

Oh and how much was that camera?? My god those pictures are great!

                  Thanks!
It sure was hot out there!
I wear compression material under that coat - and that's it.
After we were done, and I open that coat to undress - whoa, talk about FREEZING!!! All that sweat that pulled away from me on that fabric felt like ice.

The camera he used was $1000 new. I meant to get the specific model off him...I know it's a Canon 18mp with what appeared to be stock lense. I can find out for sure - heck, "I" want a camera like that myself!!
