I know, I know... the U.S. will move on, but they face Brazil. I actually have mixed feelings because I think Australia has shown a good side. The U.S. has shown some defensive cracks and you never know when one of the Brazilians will break some great individual play. Did you see their first goal today? Wow!

I don't think this is a bad thing. Sweden is underrated. Brazil generally gets better the further they advance so let's take them on now. Aside from their last game; they really haven't been playing well. Time for Hope Solo to step up after being snubbed in the '07 World Cup against them and Abby Wambach needs to step up and finally score. O'Reilly hopefully will be game ready and we have ourselves a game. Also no disrespect to France and England but I'd rather be sitting on their side of the bracket. The other side with Germany,Japan,Sweden, and Australia is going to be a blood bath."The farther we go, the more the ultimate explanation recedes from us, and all we have left is faith."

Sorry about England...and I know the feeling about losing on penalties kicks time after time...Mexico does the same thing...sigh.
Wow...a shocker result...Japan beats Germany on their own soil, 1-0...I know Japan is the fourth-ranked team in the world...but it was still a feat to beat the home team.sigpicComment

Wow...what a great gutsy comeback from the USA....despite getting cheated early on...and playing with only 10 players...scoring with basically a couple of minutes left in overtime to tie the game...and finally bring it home in the penalty kick stage...
