1979 Burlap Superman!?

Hey Folks...I saw something yesterday at a flea market that I've never seen before and was hoping someone here may know something about it.

I wish I had snapped a picture of it, but I didn't think about it until I was long gone from the flea market, but is was a flying Superman images that was printed on burlap fabric, it was framed and was probably about 16X20 in size and in the left hand corner, it had the copyright and it looked like it was dated 1979.

Since burlap is an odd fabric for them to have used for a Superman item, I figured it was probably cut off some kind of bag or sack that was used for something else, but for the life of me I can't come up with anything that makes any sense.

Does anyone have any knowledge about this?

I went back and picked it up...anyone have any ideas where it would have come from?

That is a Superman bulletin board from 1979 and I am still using mine as shown here. I originally picked mine up at the local Gibson's Discount Center before it closed along with an Aquaman bulletin board that I no longer have. I am not sure about the original price.

Very cool, thanks for letting me know and showing me yours. I would have never thought of it being a bulletin board...I have a Snoopy board and have seen Star Wars bulletin boards, but they are cork boards and not burlap....thanks again for the info!
