I didn't realise anyone out there actually believed that this show was "real", lol. 98% of the scenarios on this show are scripted, as with a lot of the so-called reality shows on tv. It's just meant to be entertainment. There's been tensions in the past between Shannon and Gene as could be expected (and typical of most relationships anyhow) but I don't think at this point she is going to suddenly take great offense to things that have been evident and understood between them for decades now. I enjoy the show because it's funny and silly and over the top at times but I never take any of it seriously.

I consider the show Gene Simmons version of "Curb Your Enthusiasm" in that it is guided by reality with a lot of embellishment.

          Thanks MIB41!

I guess it's been pushed back then (originally scheduled for late Fall 2011).

The first week or so in the studio they were posting vid clips, but haven't heard a peep for about a month now. All four have been visibly busy with other projects recently which had me wondering if they've already finished in the studio.

I agree with this 100%. Before I watched the new season, I figured it was ALL set up, but I don't think either of them are good enough actors to pull off what I saw on the episode, and that's been confirmed by the recent "re-enactment".

Perhaps this is due to the "re-enactment" lacking the luxury of mood adjustments, retakes & editing?

I only catch snippets of it so I can't say. However, the show is true ART -- Absurdist-Reality Television. Like the time where Gene is asked to be the godfather at a Catholic Baptism. The reaction when the priest asks him if he's Catholic is priceless and for me pretty much sums up the whole tone of the show.

I will comment that I do think Gene needs a hair make over and Shannon should lay off the botox.

After watching all three episodes,I'm left sitting here scratching my head. In other episodes,he bent over backwards for her to give her whatever she wanted. Then she wants to dump him? And he's willing to do whatever she wants to keep her but they make it sound like he's the bad guy? Kinda cheesy how they got them back together.

I love the KISS Megos, I like a lot of the early songs and the first albums. But as people....man do I HATE Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley!

She claims that the last 3(?) or so years have been problematic.

That coincides with the Gene Simmons sex tape appearing online in 2008. She might very well have been in denial for a quarter century or so that Gene was cheating on her until that scandal surfaced on the internet with undeniable evidence.

Add that to the empty nest and you have a couple that has major stuff to work out.

These marital problems spilling into the show feels like the second season of The Two Coreys. Where the first season of The Two Coreys was ridiculously constructed, the second was frighteningly real with Haim succumbing to his drug problems on the set of Lost Boys 2. He died not long after that IIRC.

Shannon's outrage seems pretty real to me. As does Sophie confronting her father.

I think it's pretty real as far as reality TV can get but I still saw the contrivances (i.e. the web page Shannon "stumbled" on to see Gene with a bunch of ladies. The web address at top looked like it was actually an HTML file opened up from the desktop folder. I am betting she actually saw what bothered her off camera and recreated it for TV)

I'm sure it's all a set up,however; she received a phone call and and email thats where she saw the photo she didn't just stumble upon it.

This is so put on and fake. The ratings of this show have been dipping and i am sure Gene and Shannon cooked this up. There already back together anyway. People will always put **** on a reality show for ratings. I don't believe anything I see on there.
