And then you have your imbeciles.

I guess the consolation us Leaf's fans here in Toronto have is that there will never be any mass hockey hooliganism in my lifetime.

The French Canadian Wife on the other hand, despite being an upwardly mobile VP at a hi tech company, a subscription holder to both the Toronto Symphony and Canadian Opera, is seriously ready to gear up at a moments notice and engage in the proud Quebecois tradition of rioting on demand in the name of the Rocket's Ghost if the Habs come within striking distance of the Stanley Cup.

Seriously, I don't know what's in the Francophone Canadian genes, but during playoff season, if we have tickets at the Ford Centre for the Performing arts, she'll knock over the elderly to try and get out of there and into a sports bar so she can catch the final score and pick fights with local hockey fans, while wearing her dress and heels.


Although it was certainly fun taking to the streets during the World Series in the nineties.
