I don't follow sports but my girlfriend made me watch last nights game. (lol) And Vancouver had their butts handed to them. Boston deserved it. They played well and they played as a team. Simple.

And there is no shame in coming in second. They still had to beat all those other teams.

I'm told the Vancouver stadium mostly applauded Boston after they got the cup. Most people are classy. These are the dregs, and we have dregs in every country.

There's been plenty of riots in American sports. Including high school and college sports events and certainly after Super Bowl games.

Yeah, around here kids used to riot after Ohio State football games - win or lose, which I never understood. The police & school administration put a lid on that after a while. Now, the kids have big street parties in the spring. 2,000 kids get drunk, the police gas 'em, and everyone points fingers.

The riots weren't necessarily started by hockey fans. The latest report I heard were that the riots were started by anarchists that showed up wearing Canucks jerseys to blend in but they brought masks and gasoline. I think they probably would have provoked a riot win or lose.
