Don't forget that Yukon Cornelius was convicted of animal cruelty in 1987 for his forcible removal of the Bumble's teeth. Thank you PETA!

Now I'll have to go check my DVD and see which song is in there. I seem to think it's Fame and Fortune.

Isn't Frosty technically younger than Karen? Afterall, he doesn't come to life until the hat is placed on his head and he says "Happy Birthday"

Another question. Was that black stuff Donner puts on Rudolph's nose deer poop?

I always felt the same way about that Santa...what the heck was his problem? I was glad he was replaced in the Rankin-Bass universe later on by the Mickey Rooney version of Kris Kringle (Santa Claus is Coming to Town/Year Without a Santa Claus/Rudolph's Shiny New Year/Rudolph & Frosty's Christmas in July).

I didn't care for Mrs. Claus either and was glad when she was replaced by the vav-va-voom Jessica the schoolteacher (SCICTT). But eventually she aged into the Shirley Booth version (YWASC)....bleech!

The Year without a Santa Claus is probably my favorite Rankin/Bass holiday special.

They don't play this one much anymore either. I had to go buy the dvd so my kids would know who Mr. Heat and Cold Meiser were whenever I felt like singing there little diddy's around this time of year.

I watched Rudolph the other night too, unfortunately I didn't find it wuite as entertaining as I once did, Rudolph now strikes me as a little whiny and annoying. I also watched Santa Claus is Coming to Town, which I still love, mostly because of Fred Astaire.

I always found it annoying that the network version of Santa Claus is Coming to Town cut Jessica's song "My World Is Beginning Today". She would sing like 3 lines and that's it. I don't know if it's full length on the dvd since I don't own it (yet). They are all a must see during the holidays.

I wanted to like that one, but egads it's long boring and dull as dishwater. No charm at all.

The whole song is on my DVD version.
