    About the snakes, I absolutely hate them. Where I grew up, we'd go out on the porch and our cats would be fighting rattlesnakes that were out there sunning themselves. Just thinking about how we used to run around out there through the woods barefooted gives me the willies now.

      The Fer-de-lance is the deadliest snake in Costa Rica.
