One of my first short films...

Just found this posted on YouTube. I had no idea it was even there... I'm not sure how, but it looks like someone got a hold of the original 35mm print or HD master and posted the thing sometime in February of this year:

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EIvMoK7eAWE

It's called "Archangel" and it's one of the very first short films I ever directed. This was a few years before "Batman Dead End". I was directing a lot of commercials at the time and can remember being very frustrated at the commercial aspect of a lot of my work back then, and felt I needed to do something very artistic and expressive, that would be representative of my rage against the corporate machine at the the time.

This is a very personal piece to me, and one of my favorites out of my body of work... Enjoy.

The end scene reminds me of this one.

            Awesome work!

(At the risk of sounding crude - there's some serious hotness going on in there.)

Not crude at all, dude. Let's face it; Putting anything less than "hotness" in latex and bondage gear, just ain't gonna cut it.

Unless, maybe you're Peter Greenaway and you're going for the creep factor.

Seriously cool camera work here. A bold vision and a great story told without words. Did you work from a script or just storyboards? Kudos!

Absolutely brilliant! Breathtaking imagery and kicking soundtrack by Dead Can Dance!

With the popularity of Youtube, it's terrific that work like this can now be seen outside the confines of festivals and galleries.

Also some of the best angel wings FX I've ever seen.
