Too bad I rarely wear my wedding band, work does not allow it unless it is clipped to break off.:

Man, that's a great idea. You should send it in. There is no friggin way that my ring would stop a bullet, I don't know what kind of ring this was, but I'd be dead for sure, either that or if it actually saved my life, my wife would probably be ****ed that I ruined my ring

I can't even get mine off. It was a struggle a few years ago to get it off for my hernia surgery.

It would make a good myth busters segment. I know gold is pretty durable but I don't know if a ring that isn't very thick could withstand a bullet but I guess it's possible or plausible depending on the caliber and chances are the bullet grazed off the ring but didn't hit it directly.

I took a test that my insurance company had on line. It came back that I would add 5 years to my life if I had a wife and another 6 months if I flossed every day. I don't get the floss but I figure being alone if I fall or other wise get hert there is no one around to help me, It would be about a week befor I was found.

Sometimes with a wife, that week lying on the floor unfound would be like bliss...is there any way to add the 5 years to your life without the wife bit....I mean five years of nagging, lists of things for you to do when you're off work etc doesn't seem that good a deal......ouch....that was the missus reading over my shoulder and walloping me one..

The flossing has to do with plaque build up. It is the same type of plaque that clogs your arteries. The plaque in your teeth (if it builds up) can get into your blood stream. It can also lead to all kinds of periodontal and gum disease which can cause infections and all kinds of problems which in turn would lead to health problems. My wife is a dental hygienist and said she has to be very careful about asking patients regarding heart problems since they have to be extra careful when removing the plaque during a routine cleaning. I think she told me that they might even have a person with heart problems take an aspirin or something before a cleaning.

I don't know about the myth busters trying this one out, I don't think there's anyway that they could control the outcome, someone would definitely end up dead.
