CNN is now in the storm chaser business

You know it's tragic enough when communities in the north and south have to suffer the fate of these horrible tornadoes. But then you have cable channels like CNN who reach a new low when they decide to run live feeds of storm chasers going after tornadoes in Oklahoma, screaming, "This is a killer tornado just like the one Missouri got!" REALLY? Have we've gone from helicopters covering police chases to now following tornadoes after they kill enough people? This is not news. It's sensationalism at the expense of others. Just sad.

    I really don't see the problem...it's news.

CNN is the second best news channel after the BBC.

Fox News is too far to the right...and MSNBC is too far to the left...for my own personal tastes.

Fox News has a bad rep of being very Right, but people don't realize how many CNN Lefts jump ship and went to Fox.

Wolf Blitzer is like the only one who stayed

I just think when you start using adjectives like "killer" tornado (is there another kind?) your crossing the line from news to sensationalism.

              Thank you, Fox!

Mmm...I kinda see what you are saying...but I don't see CNN being unique on this...all the news channels say stuff like that.

It's now a "deadly, deadly, deadly, tornado..." And the sad thing? This clown almost got sucked in the tornado he was covering. You can see a utility pole literally soaring over his truck. Where do they find these people?

I agree. Personally I like my news concise and using less slang like "killer".

Louisville is under a PDS Tornado Watch. You may ask, "Tom what is a PDS?" PDS means "Particularly Dangerous Situation". That means we're at high risk for dangerous straight line winds, and tornadoes. So I guess it would be a fair statement to say if we get a PDS, I'll be SOL somewhere in BFE...
