Another amazing Doc for all you doc hounds out there. Basquiat and Keith Haring are two of my fave artists. Great stuff and super interesting stories. Both of them died way too young. JMB was 27 and Haring was 30. I dooz luzz me some NYC mid 80's art scene stuff. This whole movement was just taking off kind of when I left NY, so I never really got to experience it live or be part of it, but man does it look interesting. Great doc with very rare interview footage... Check it out. Eyez gotz the DVD, but it's streaming on Netflix right now.

I did love the Hollywood movie with David Bowie playing Andy Warhol. Great soundtrack.

I love Basquiat's art...not so crazy about Haring's.

Had the pleasure of seeing a big retrospective of Basquiat's stuff in NY in the mid-nineties as a younger lad in art school. Definitely a pioneer in all the graffiti inspired stuff that has since made it's way into the art scene.

Wasn't there a biopic of Basquiat years ago? I never got around to seeing it. I'll have to catch the doc.
