Was doing some trimming around the yard yesterday and must have gotten into some poison ivy or oak. Now I've got big red itchy areas on both arms. I don't usually get it too bad but it's still no fun to have.
I think the majority of people are allergic to it. I have only met a few people in my life who can walk through a patch of it, rub it on their arms...with no reaction. I haven't it had for a long time but have had the typical reaction. I had a childhood friend who had a severe reaction to it that hospitalized him.

Years ago...all the fingers on both my hands became infected with warts...all of them.
I borrowed someone else's nail-cutter...and that started the whole thing...
Anyway...I ran to the dermatologist...and she gave me liquid nitrogen treatments...I had three painful sessions (it really hurt)...so the warts came off...but after a couple of weeks...they all came back...
So the second option was to dab poison ivy/oak in liquid form...it didn't hurt like the liquid nitrogen...but it itched like nobody's business...I was so miserable for a few days.
However...guess what...the liquid poison ivy/oak...completely and permanently killed all the warts...FOREVER.
That's why...I love posion ivy/oak...it's my best friend...
