I remember this awful show on Fox years ago called Oops. It was a comedy set after a nuclear war I think.

I liked Beauty and the Beast.
You are a bold and courageous person, afraid of nothing. High on a hill top near your home, there stands a dilapidated old mansion. Some say the place is haunted, but you don't believe in such myths. One dark and stormy night, a light appears in the topmost window in the tower of the old house. You decide to investigate... and you never return...

98% of what is on TV today is absolute garbage and ridiculous.

TLC has some of the worst and I find it both ironic and sad due to the name of the channel.

I don't think that's just today. Here's an idea that seems to come back every few years, with varying degrees of competence:

          >Wow, the Master! They recut that as a movie

          "MASTER NINJA THEME SONG!!!!!!!!"

          >Alf - a cute muppett-like alien crashes to earth and already speaks english.

Yeah, but I like the ending:

I know it was probably out of the Producer's hands when it happened because CBS didn't really like Beauty & The Beast but did anyone even think to replace Linda Hamilton with an actress that looked like her? Y'know so they wouldn't have to kill the character and make the show a real downer? My vote would have been for Beth Toussaint. They are also very close in age. Tho I would say Toussaint is easier on the eyes. They both have the jawline, the cheekbones and the eyes. Toussaint's are a bit rounder I think.

                  Hamilton

                  Toussaint

Appeared in a Next Generation Episode if you didn't know who she was. She Played Tasha's sister in season 2. She's married to Jack Coleman, aka Mr. Horned Rimmed Glasses, Claire's father himself, of TV's HEROES:

Yep. Beauty & The Beast would have had more men watching...

Great acting prowess by Brent Spinner here-eyes forward and stoic as ever. ( Not...going...to...look!)

                    Hmmmm....

I think you always have to be careful not to confuse things. A show can be completely horrible and irrevocably stupid and still be entertaining; GENUINELY entertaining, not ironically.

I LOVED the Master (what other ninja stuff was out there then?) I liked the Phoenix. At the time, I LOVED Alf.

I hate pop culture's short memory. Stuff we loved and now its lame? Context, People.
