My first album I ever bought with my own money was

AC/DC Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap that I bought at BEST (still have it!)

This was not the first album I ever owned but the one I bought with my own money.

Star Wars, the MECO disco version!

        http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dWRWYYt47RI

Luke: Look at him, he's headed for that small moon!

Ben: That's no moon, it's a disco ball.

Han: It's too big to be a disco ball.

Luke: I have a very funky feeling about this.

Han: Yeah, I think you're right. Let's dance!

My 1st was by a Punk Band called the Partisans. It entered the UK charts at no 78 I think. They only lived 6 miles away from me, still have the LP and still play it

I am of course kidding. Don't think I ever bought any LP's. Cassettes were out by the time I got interested in Music. I think the only records I ever bought were a bunch of Beatles pictures discs I found in Germany in 1987. I did have some records from the 70's from my parents - Star Wars soundtrack, Alvin and the Chipmunks Christmas Album...to name a few

KISS "Rock and Roll Over" when I was around 9 years old. I picked that one as my first KISS album because it came with a free sticker. I still have that album too (sticker is long gone though)

First album I asked my Mom to buy me was Elvis - Almost In Love (1970). I was seven and absolutely had to have the songs "A Little Less Conversation" & "Rubberneckin'" (Early warning sign that I was going to be just a little over-sexed)

The first album that I bought, I actually rode my bike to the nearest record store and bought it with my own money, was KISS Alive!, I was twelve and could not wait for Christmas in order to have this new album.

Fleetwood Mac -- Black Magic Woman. It was a rerelease of two earlier released albums, Fleetwood Mac and English Rose...

Carlos Santana did a fantastic cover of the title tune, but the Peter Green Original has its own charms.
90, Joe 90.... Great Shakes : Milk Chocolate -- Shaken, not Stirred.
