sending money from the UK

For those in the know that are in the UK. What is the best way of sending a money order to the US?

I dont think they exist. I tried doing it in Poland, and the banks said, ??????

Well since paypal, i've not used any other form of international payment. In the old days you would go to the bank and ask for an international mo or ask for funds to be wired directly into your bank account. Both would cost the sender a ding

I think these days you can even do a direct international bank transfer, with an IBAN/BIC number (international bank number)...

Tell them they can just wire it to my account. It's always welcome...
