Carlisle, PA Ford Show in June

Anyone who might be in the Carlisle, PA area on June 4th, my Pinto is registered in the special Ford Nationals Pinto 40th Anniversary show. So far, 53 Pintos are registered. They even have a convoy of them coming in from the mid-west. I also made it in time to get in the parade on Saturday evening. So, if you are in the area and decide to stop by, look for me at the show or in the parade. Look for this Pinto, you can't miss it!

I have a brother 10 years older than me and he had a Pinto at one time...it was an avocado green color (I think). When I got older, I heard about the gas tank problem and the demise of the Pinto. I heard on the radio this morning that Ford is considering re-releasing a retro-Pinto without the tank problem. They also said Chevy might re-release an El Camino. I guess with the popularity of the retro Ford Mustang, car companies are finding that this is part of the car market that is starting to show some demand.

My parents had his (a brown pinto squire wagon) and hers (a baby blue harchback) in 74, they bought after selling my dad's 68 mustang

              Very cool

Every time I see a Pinto I think of the Top Secret movie where all something has to do is lightly ding the back bumper and it blows up
